Huỳnh Lê Nhật Tấn was born in Da Nang into a family closely connected to the art world. His father was the founder of the Da Vang publishing house, and Huỳnh Lê Nhật Tấn spent his childhood surrounded by books. It was there that he developed an interest in poetry and drawing.

During his studies in Saigon, far from his family and homesick, he began to write and found solace in poetry, experimenting with different styles.

Upon returning to Da Nang, his father encouraged him to pursue art. Huỳnh Lê Nhật Tấn began painting, but it was sadness and pain that ultimately led him to create the Vết Căn Nguyên series, which became his first exhibition in Saigon. Huỳnh Lê Nhật Tấn is a unique artist, a master of outsider art in Vietnam, who paints his emotions, his wounds, his sadness.

It is upstairs in the family home, where he now lives alone, that he has established his studio. A small, timeless space where Blue Jazz resonates as Huynh Le Nhat Tan begins to paint, guided by his own energy. The place reflects the artist himself—simple and imbued with the spirit of Da Nang from his childhood. A time he continues to nurture as he wanders through the old neighborhoods of the city.
