Dương Thụy

Dương Thụy, an architect by profession, began painting after a setback in his life. Initially, he explored this new artistic path with watercolors, painting landscapes of Vietnam and elsewhere—what he calls the outside world. Gradually, he came to understand that art is a realm with much broader boundaries, and his landscapes transformed, increasingly focusing on the inner self: his thoughts, his wounds, his feelings. Today, he explores the human condition in acrylics through a unique, visceral style.
